Turnip - Purple Top Milan

Harvested our first ever turnip today…they were planted in April and have been steadily growing in the Brassica bed ever since. It’s not huge but apparently they taste better when small. The rest (about 6 – as we have a very small plot) are being left to grow on a little more.

I planted some more Turnip – ‘Purple Top Milan’ today along with some Swede – ‘Magres.’ They’ll mature in a few months and give us some late Summer veg.
