Beans pods vegetable set bees

We are very happy to announce we have pods setting on our broad beans. It shouldn’t be long before we are scouring the internet looking for inventive broad bean recipes!

The long-tongued bees have definately been busy. Let’s just hope a few more pods set soon, as i have been reading on the allotment forums about crafty bees that go to the back of the flower to steal the nectar, as their tongues aren’t long enough to reach the nectar from the front! Cheeky gits.
