Garlic in small pots

The garlic is growing quite happily in small wicker baskets that i bought for 10p each from the garden centre round the corner. Like the onions, i don’t expect them too be huge, just to look nice – and provide enough for most of the year for cooking . The pots are too heavy to blow away, and are ideal for when the weather is all soggy at harvest time, as they can be moved into the shed  to dry out – assuming it hasn’t flooded!

Quite a few months until this will be ready though. Right,  i’m off to see if my runner beans have sprouted yet…
